Have someone worked with the DAVID board ? (http://www.chs-eng.ch/Product.html) it has a DSP SHARC and a XILINX XC4010. I need some help.
I'm trying to program a Modulator for an induction motor. The problem is that I don't know which software can I use to program the FPGA chip. I want to draw in schematics because I don't have verilog knowledge. When my schematic is ready, I nead to obtain a ".rbt" file, because that's the only extension that recognize the DSP environment. HEEEELP! Thank you.

You will need ISE classic to support the XC4010E. More recent versions no longer support it.
The Xilinx products no longer support the old Aldec-based schematic format. The classic version of ISE has its own ECS schematic package. The last time I used an XC4000 part I used Foundation 4.1i with the Aldec-based schematic entry or a separate Viewlogic "Viewdraw" schematic and the Alliance tools. These were much better for schematic design, but if your project is small you may be able to live with the ECS schematics.
Once you have generated a bitstream from your design (.bit file) you can use the PROM file formatter to generate the .rbt file, which is a string of ASCII "1" and "0" characters.
