I am using FMC connectors on the zcu102 Rev1.0 board. And the board can only give 1.8V to the FMC adapter I am mounting on the HPC0 FMC connector. But the adapter needs a voltage of 2.5V from the board. How can I set the VADJ value to 2.5 volts for the following bord?Is it possible to do so?

Hello @jenny_august13,
Try working with the older versions of SCUI.
Also install 6.7 version of drivers.
Thank you.

Hi @jenny_august13,
You can adjust the VADJ voltage on the ZCU102. See AR#67308.
However, as per the ZCU102 User Guide UG1182, the valid values of the VADJ_FMC rail are 1.2V, 1.5V, and 1.8V.
This it is not possible to have a VADJ of 2.5V on the ZCU102 FMC connector

Florent

Hi @jenny_august13,
You won't be able to set VADJ to 2.5V even with the MSP430 as it is over the UltraScale board's VADJ capability

Can I set the voltage VADJ to 0.0 V for the FMC but I have my FMC adapter connected to HPC0 has a specification for 2.5 V for Vadj.
Should I use an adapter that draws 0.0 V inorder to set the VADJ value to 0.0V . Is it not possible to set 0.0V though i have placed an adapter of 2.5 V over it?
I am getting a timeout error when i tried to set the voltage as 0.0 V on System Controller User Interface in FMC options for Voltage.

The VADJ of the FMC card and the board are tied together. Do not try powering VADJ at 2.5V externally and you will risk damaging the HP Banks 65,66 & 67.
What are you trying to achieve here by trying to power VADJ at 2.5V?

How can I run system control user interface? I am unabe to get any voltage information over the GUI. And I followed the XTP435 and XTP433 documents. Do I need Vivado 2017.2 or SDSoC for that?
I have just downloaded the zip for SCUI and run the SCUI.exe.. But i can see nothing and i have also set sw6 to 1111 also and i can see DS46 illuminated and DS47 blinking.
An error while running ..... and a timeout occurred is being displayed for every action i perform on the SCUI.

Hi @jenny_august13,
Do you have an USB cable connected to the UART port of the ZCU102?

Florent

Hi @jenny_august13,
Do you see anything printed if you open an UART console (ex. tera Term)
08-30-2017 04:09 AM
08-30-2017 04:13 AM
I can see nothing on the teraterm and here is the configuration of serial on teraterm

-> You see nothing on all the 4 COM ports associated to the ZCU102? You should see something displayed corresponding to the power settings

Yes this has worked for older versions of scui and from the following link
https://forums.xilinx.com/xlnx/board/crawl_message?board.id=CNFG&message.id=6453
I came to know that for my board older than 2016.4 version os scui works
