IO input capacitance

how can we find out the input capacitance of an IO in spartan 6 evaluation board looking into the FMC connector

Hi @mohd_suhel ,

You can get the Die Capacitance at pin/pad by referring page 5 of DS162 (v3.1.1).

To get Package capaticance, please download IBIS Models for Spartan 6 or you can generate IBIS Model through ISE by referring this AR#50957 .

If you want to know from FMC Pin point, then you need to Download Allegro Board files of Spartan 6 evaluation Board and then use Allegro Free Viewer Software to manually calculate the Trace length (i.e From FMC Pin to Device Package pin) and then you can calculate the capacitance of the Trace length. From this you can know the total capacitance from FMC Pin to Die of device.
