KC705 : Power Available at FMC

Hi All,

I'm new to FPGA designs. I'm designing a FMC card which consumes 2A in each 12V  and 3.3V rail. Is there any document which shows the maximum current can be drawn at FMC connector? Or overall power consumption details of EVM board ?

Please let me know how I can make sure that my board is not loading EVM board.

Re: KC705 : Power Available at FMC

Apparently the VITA 57 spec defines maximum current. Since you have to pay for the VITA 57 spec, this is not really useful for hobbyists. There is an unofficial page here that suggests 3A on 3.3V and 1A on 12V are the maximums.

Given the pretty substantial power draw you're expecting, it might be worth adding a separate DC power input.
