KC705 & FMC card

Jump to solution

Looking over the site I was trying to determine what a good solution for a certain FMC card for the kc705 development board.   I have one signal that is -5V to 0V signal, what would be an FMC card that could be used for this application?  It seems that all of the cards I noticed do a 2 to 2.5 Vpp input signal.

Thanks

Hi,

KC705 does not have a 5V IO standard. Probably you should be having a level translator before you interface the FMC card output (with 5V signal) withe KC705 FMC connector - http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_guides/ug471_7Series_SelectIO.pdf

Thanks,
Anirudh

In addition to previous post link you can also refer at the FMC Compatibility tool (from the Source: https://thesource.gosavo.com/Document/Document.aspx?id=28491908&view=&srlid=25909540&srisprm=False&sritidx=1&srpgidx=0&srpgsz=25

Re: KC705 & FMC card

Hi Anirudh,

I recently bought the KC705, FMC AD9567 and FMC AD9739A.  The link you referenced (http://www.xilinx.com/products/boards_kits/fmc.htm) indicates that the KC705 should work with both of these FMC cards.  However, I can't use the reference designs for those cards because of version issues.

The FMC AD9739A I purchased is apparently only supported with an ISE implementation.

The FMC AD9467 I purchased is apparently only supported with Vivado 2014.2.

The version of the KC705 that I just bought from Xilinx ships with Vivado 2014.3.1.

Is there any way that I can get these cards to work together?

Thanks,

Andrew
