SD Card booting inconsistency ZC706 board

I am facing issue when I am trying to boot from the SD Card in ZC706 board. Sometimes the board boots up fine from the SD Card. When I power cycle the board multiple times, the board may fail to boot from SD card. When I tried to probe the SD signals, the CLK and CMD signals are coming even in case the board is failing to boot from SD Card. But no activity is present on the SD Data lines. Please help me with this issue

Re: SD Card booting inconsistency ZC706 board

We have a similar problem.

We configured the board to boot from SD-card.

Several times, when we power on the board, it fails to be programmed.

Also, the led -DONE- doesn't go high.

Is that a known problem that has to do with AR#52023?

Do you have any specs about SD-cards that never fail to program the fpga?

Thank you in advance

Re: SD Card booting inconsistency ZC706 board

I've seen a problem like this and it turned out that the SD card was not well inserted into the holder. When pushing it into the holder, it should reach the end and then bounce back a bit.

Re: SD Card booting inconsistency ZC706 board

Check the SDIO clock rate.

I recently discovered that FSBL's from older tools (specifically 14.7) work with faster (100Mhz) SDIO clocks than some of the newer tools (Specifically Vivado 2013.4).  I dialed back the SDIO clock to 50MHz and was able to boot
