Spartan 601 Evaluation Kit Enclosure

Just wondering if anyone has found or created a box enclosure for the Spartan 601 Evaluation Kit board.  Would like to make the board look a little more user friendly by hiding all the unnecessary components as well as protect the board.

Here's a suggestion, cheap and flexilble.

  • Buy a plastic case of roughly the right size.
  • Cut holes in the plastic case for user access to knobs, switches, and displays
  • Drill holes for ventilation and power cord
  • Mount SP601 board to case using screws, nuts, washers, and plastic spacers or standoffs.

Here is an example of a plastic case

Mounting hardware shouldn't be hard to find.  If you have trouble with spacers or standoffs, check DigiKey.

The clasic way

is to get two lumps of perspex ,

      and some stand off's.

bolt them either side of the board, and put stick on feet on one of them,

put in cut outs for any buttons you need to get to.
