USB3.0 SuperSpeed suddenly not working on ZCU102

I've put xusb_poll_example.c and in an helloworld project, and originally, it works with USB3.0 SuperSpeed connection. But one day after I power cycled the ZCU102, there's only USB2.0 HighSpeed connection.

Right after the power cycle, the LEDs on ZCU102 was flashing and was unable to boot until I pressed the ENET RESET button near the JTAG on the board. I'm not sure if it is related.

Things I've tried:

  • Insert
    XUsbPsu_SetSpeed((struct XUsbPsu *)InstancePtr, Speed);
    after
    UsbConfigPtr = LookupConfig(USB_DEVICE_ID);
    or
    Status = CfgInitialize(&UsbInstance, UsbConfigPtr,
    					UsbConfigPtr->BaseAddress);
  • Use another USB cables
  • Switch to other USB ports on the PC
  • Insert to the USB posts other PCs
  • Install Vivado on another PC and flash the program on it

but none of them help it to regain SuperSpeed.

Do you have any clues? Thank you very much.

Re: USB3.0 SuperSpeed suddenly not working on ZCU102

Do the power LEDs on the board indicate any power problems? Do you have a Maxim InTune Power cable? You could try programming the power rails if you suspect the Maxim part is having power problems. AR below.

Re: USB3.0 SuperSpeed suddenly not working on ZCU102

Thank you for your help. I've found that I can restore the USB3.0 if I program a FTBL before programming my project.
