I am working on a project where we have 14 ZC706 development boards. On several of our boards we experience issues wherein after a power cycle the Vadj supply fails to start. The probability of this happening seems to increase with increasing temperature of the board. Using either of the reset pushbuttons does not recover the Vad. The only solution seems to be to power the board off, wait 5min or so, and power back on. AR #60702 alludes to "Power related issues might be experienced on 1% of ZC706 and AC701 Evaluation Kits." but does not elaborate on what symptoms one might expect.
Can anyone provide a more detailed description of the symptoms and underlying problem to which AR #60702 refers.

Our boards were purchased directly from Xilinx.
They show the issue from receipt of the board but some of our developers don't care and keep using the board anyway but always leave the power on. In other situations there is a need to cycle power and not having Vadj come back up w/o 5min wait is an issue.
I will go around and check the revisions. Since we have a lot of boards it will take some time.
Meantime, can you answer the part of my question about the symptoms of the problem to which AR60702 refers.

@jal123 AR#60702 symptoms can be anything like power LEDs not lit, power rails not coming up correctly, JTAG access issues related to power as mentioned in AR which were narrowed down to Power modules.
Since you purchased from directly from Xilinx and you say the issue existed right from day 1 for many of the boards, you may be better off filing a Technical Support Request to get more help and see if you qualify for RMA.
I would suggest you follow the 3 steps mentioned in AR#60702 if you suspect the issue with power modules ( seems to be the case as you mention VADJ rail )

As mentioned earlier, if you feel the boards started having issues, it may be worthwhile to file a Technical Support request so that the concerned team can help you out and get the boards up and running. If not, they can help you get an RMA if qualified.
