Hi @codbsdl ,

>> Are you using SCUI (version 2019.1)? And you have followed all the Jumper settings(J164) they have given in SCUI Firware update steps?

>> Also before perfoming SCUI Firmware update. Please go through this ZCU102 Debug Checklist  and confirm me till step 4 you are fine? If you have any issue in power then Firmware might not be possible.

Please share your Email ID which is registered with Xilinx. I will forward you the Firmware update steps through EZMove Software.

>> Please share the Firmware Date for your board. You can get that, like below using Tera term like below:

Re: ZCU102 Rev 1.1 Fail to update firmware

I have the same problem. Identical printout except that I unpacked the zip file to C:\zcu102_scui.

Is there any solution? I have followed AR# 68386 through step 4 as suggested, and everything looks fine.

Thanks,

Brian S.

Hello @bschroeder ,

Can you please confirm what exact version of your Silicon labs driver is in your case, as we have a known issue which is described here:

https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/69258.html

We've been tracking this issue for a while, and what we've found so far is that the newest version of the Silicon labs driver (6.7.6) does not appear work correctly with the BIT.  There is active development looking into the root cause but for now if you are looking to get the BIT up and running, you might need to install an older version of the Si Labs Driver.

You can check which version of the driver is installed by opening the Windows device manager and right clicking on one of the virtual COM ports, then selecting the "Driver" tab.  My guess is that the latest version was installed by default.

image.png

If you find that you have e.g. 6.7.6 installed, you might want to try installing an older version from the Si Labs website:

http://www.silabs.com/products/development-tools/software/usb-to-uart-bridge-vcp-drivers

Once done, please try updating the System Controller Firmware once again and then see if you are seeing a better outcome this time or not?

Kind Regards,
Anatoli Curran,

That fixed it. Thanks for the quick response.

BTW, I am running win10, and the driver was 10.1.8 from the CP210x_Universal_Windows_Driver. It is now 6.7 and the firmware update installed per xtp433.
