Analog signals

Hi all,

Can we generate the analog signals in FPGA using any IP and the generated signal is how accurate it is?

Thanks all;

Re: Analog signals

The short answer is no, you cannot. It's a digital IC.

Now... to try to help... you can either have a DAC or generate a PWM and low-pass filter it. Maybe a plain RC could be enough.

I don't understand the first part of your question.

A design implemented on FPGA is primarily meant to process digital signals.For design implementation on FPGA, no.

However imperfect analog signals can be generated and viewed in simulation.

For digital designs, the accuracy of a signal depends on the resolution of the clock signal used. So the max resolution of your analog signal is the analog signal change value per rising edge of the clock (i am taking only for simulation).
