DDS compiler output with phase modulation

Dear all,

I'm already using a DDS Compiler Core (output signals) to generate a simple sine wave output signals.

Here are the Implementation parameter of this core:

Now I want to add a phase modulation to this output sine wave.

My idea was to use a second DDS (phase modulation) and feed the output into the streamed phase offset of the output DDS (output signals):

Unfortunately I didn't found a good description about the parametrisation of the phase offset (POFF) in the PG141. So I need to know how does the phase offset (POFF) should be parametrized and if may idea could work?

I simulated the phase modulation and it seams that POFF works as phase modulation input.

What kind of modulation are using.  Something like BPSK or QPSK does not need the second, phase modulation DDS.  Just send the phase offset into the offset port of the DDS.

I hade to do a real PM modulation not only shifting the quadrant.
