Fastest Dual Clocked Fifos

Hello, 

 

is there any advisement which is the fastest dual cloked Fifo (Block Ram, Distributed Ram or Built-in FIFO)?

Built-in FIFO has better performance and Block ram FIFO because of Access time. Again Distributed FIFO slower then built in FIFO and faster then Block RAM.

I think FIFO selection depends upon number of things. If you need higher depth FIFO better to use block based FIFO.

Built in FIFO only available in Virtex devices

Virtex6 lx240t, Fifo Size just 16 Bit width and 16 entries
