Does the JESD204B IP Core allow run-time configurability of the number of active lanes and their respective locations?
I have synthesized a JESD204B RX core for 8 lanes and currently want to use only 2 lanes (Lanes 1 & 2, such that the Lanes In Use register at offset 0x28 has a value of 0000 0110 - 0x6).
In a few months we will be transitioning to a full 8 lane ADC and it would be great if we could define in software which lanes were active.
I'm currently using an ADS54J66 with 4 lanes broken out over FMC (labeled A, B, C, D). Lanes A, B, C, D correspond to RX pairs 0, 1, 2, 3 respectively. The ADC data sheet claims that the active lanes in a 2 lane configuration are B & C, therefore the Lanes In Use register value should be 0x6. However, I fail to reach Lane Sync for all Lanes In Use configurations except for 0x3 (lanes A & B), and I only receive samples for two channels instead of four expected. Any advice would be appreciated.
