Program SPI Quad-Flash memory for Zyqn in Vivado 2018.1

Hi,

I am trying to program a SPI Quad-Flash memory for Zynq in vivado. But I don't know how to program both the PL and SDK code in the memory. Is there any instructions on it?

Hi @efly_zhao ,

 

You need to create an BIN or MCS file which will be programed in Quad SPI Flash device. Bootgen is the tool which will create the bootable images (.BIN or .MCS) for Xilinx devices. You need to provide a BIF file as input to Bootgen then it will creates the Bootable image. The Bif file contains the information about FSBL and bit file and user applicaiton. You can program the BIN/MCS files to QSPI flash usign Vivado hardware manager or SDK. Please have look at embedded design tutorial for Zynq processor first (UG1165).
