By David Brubaker, Sr. Product Line Manager, Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC
The DOCSIS Standard has evolved since its introduction in 1997 to provide increasing bandwidth for users. With advent of Distributed Access Architecture (DAA) the Remote PHY was introduced. Converged Inter-connect Network (CIN) connects the CCAP (Converged Cable Access Platform) core and multiple Remote PHYs providing higher bandwidth to users. This in turn permits operators to meet the demand of the evolving access market with the existing Hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) infrastructure. The Zynq® UltraScale+™ RFSoC is the industry’s only single-chip adaptable radio platform with integrated analog data converters and is an ideal solution for the Remote PHY.
Single-Chip Support for DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 implementation
Adaptable Hardware for Future-Proofing
Support for Extended Spectrum DOCSIS initiative variants
Supports DOCSIS 3.1 FDX standard
This webinar will provide a brief overview of the Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC and its application to a Remote PHY node in cable access. Then, we are going discuss Remote PHY implementations leveraging key IP blocks available by Xilinx partner Calian SED.
