Re: Can I Read my CPLD XC95288XL

Hi,

connect jour jtag adapter to the CPLD.

Start impact on your PC.

Initialize the JTAG-Chain.

Choose the Readback operation for the connected device.

Save the Jedec file.

That's how it works...unless...the Readback protection bit is set.

In that case, forget it.

Have a nice synthesis

Hi, thanks, I have a problem when I do readback in IMPACT Soft the program show me some errors:First ERROR "Portability:90-Command line error: Unexpected argument[5] 'and' found" ;

2nd ERROR "Exception:impact:ImpactCmdArgs.c:61:1.11-Invalid argument" ; 3th ERROR = 1st error ; 4th ERROR "iMPACT:514-One of the options for this operation is invalid, please choose diferents option" ; so show me Readback Failed, How Can I know if my CPLD in board have a read protect?

Re: Can I Read my CPLD XC95288XL

The error message you are getting indicate the software is not installed correctly - not necessarily that the device has read protection enabled.

If read protection is enabled, no, you cannot readback the Jedec file so you cannot clone it.
