When I uesd "Initial chain" , it appeared this error: JEDEC file describing an xc95108 is about to be assigned to a device previoisly identified as an xc95108_unsupported.
When I programed, it appeared this one: ERROR:iMPACT:583 - '1': The idcode read from the device does not match the idcode in the bsdl File.
INFO:iMPACT:1578 - '1': Device IDCODE : 00011001010100000110000010010011

Could this tell me that the device I used was not an authentic Xilinx device.?

Are you using any standard board or Custome Board? Are you having the single CPLD on the JTAG Chain or Multiple device on the chain?
Once I had faced the same type of problem in Spartan3E device on our custome Board, where we were having Spartan3E and Platfrom Flash on the same JTAG chain. The Problem was with the layout of the traces of the JTAG Signal on the PCB. In our design the trace length of the Jtag Clk was much more than the trace length of other JTAG Signals.

Also check if the xilinx cpld is soldered correctly to the board. I have had that issue.
It also depends on what version of xilinx you are using and also how you are programming the PLD via parallel port or USB.

I have also faced the problem of ID unmatched as well as Observed the PCB assembly just shuts off intermittently. What can be possible reason?
Iam also facing the same problem. Please inform me, if you got any solution.
