How to put sequential logic as close to each other as possible?

Hi, I am using a sequential logic using several flip flops. The output of one flipflop drives the next flipflop. I want to have minimum wire distance between them. I am not to put the flipflops in the same slice. If I put the flipflop in the other slide, how much more distance is there compared to the previous one?

Re: How to put sequential logic as close to each other as possible?

Hi, I'm not really sure there is a way to *physically* constraint the place/route engine by specifying per-cell locations. However, you may constraint some timing dependencies between the flip-flop signals (e.g. slack/skew).
I am quite curious why would you need to have these flipflops so close to each other as long as they satisfy the timing requirements?
