Hi,

I will starting to get familiar with Vivado. I have read several guides but I have not understood a thing. After inserting a source DSP Matlab or CoreGen, how can you use to connect to the "Diagram" ?

Re: Vivado IP with Matlab integration ...

Hi,

If you want to use Sysgen design in IPI please refer "Lab 9: Including a System Generator Design as a Module in an IP Integrator Design" of UG948

http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2014_2/ug948-vivado-sysgen-tutorial.pdf

Hope this helps

Regards,

Vanitha

I've read this guide but you're referring to the generation of the model. This is clear and works perfectly.

But if you run the process from the Vivado "Add" -> "DSP Core source" in this way can not be added using the "Diagram".

Is there another way ?

Thanks very much.

Re: Vivado IP with Matlab integration ...

Hi Moreasm,

As discussed in lab-9 of http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2014_2/ug948-vivado-sysgen-tutorial.pdf , did you set compilation target to "IP catalog" and generate the output products?

Are you able to see <Vendor>_<Library>_<design_name>_<Version>.zip file created?

Once this is created you need to follow the steps 1-4 shown below. This will add the IP to IP repository.

Capture_ff.PNG

After this open block design, right click select "add ip" and search for this newly added IP.

Thanks,

Deepika.

Thanks,
Deepika.

But as you will be aware of your sysgen design, i think you can write a wrapper, pack the wrapper and .slx and call it in IPI as a custom IP, this is what the IP Catalogue compilation target will do though
