Vivado: command not found even after sourcing

Hello,

I am very new to this so I am sorry if there are certain rules/ practices that I am not following. I am trying to use vivado for a python project. Even after sourcing settings64.sh it says  vivado: command not found. Is there any reason for this?

My terminal output is:

mze@mze-VirtualBox:~$ source /home/mze/Desktop/Xilinx/Vivado/2020.2/settings64.sh
mze@mze-VirtualBox:~$ vivado
vivado: command not found

Thanks in advance for any form of help!

Hi @mzl20 ,

If you cd to the directory do you see the settings64.sh file, just in case the directory is wrong.

If you do, can also try running: ./settings64.sh

You can also check if the environmental variables are set up by typing env and looking for XILINX_VIVADO e.g.

env | grep XILINX

You should see the path to where it is installed.

Best Regards
Aidan
