block design with custom IP which has an ngc file

Hello,

I have a block design. The block design contains a custom IP. The custom IP contains an NGC file.

The NGC file in the custom IP is selected for implementation.

I try to edit my custom IP in my block design using "edit in IP packager" function. After I open the IP packager, it immediately asks me to "merge changes" in the file groups tab. As soon as I click on "merge changes" in the file groups tab, the following warning appears in the TCL console: "Not packaging sources file marked as disabled: *my_ngc_file*"

So after I implemented the design, the custom IP that contains NGC file turns out not working properly, but it is implemented when I inspected the "resource utilization" tab under implementation.

I'm wondering if that error is related to why the Custom IP is not working? The NGC file is used in other code based design (same vivado version), and it's working fine.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Re: block design with custom IP which has an ngc file

Hi @majunwei

Did the implementation of your top level design (where you have block design with custom IP) complete succesfully?

If the Implementation completed succesfully then the NGC files is picked properly by the tool.

Thanks,

Deepika.

Thanks,
Deepika.
