Bootgen and U -boot

Jump to solution

Hi,

I am generating a boot image with bootgen.

( The 1st DDR ram address is :  0x100000)

In some examples, the load adress is written, as:

[load = 0x100000, startup = 0x100000]C:\Bootgen_result\u-boot.elf

In other examples, it is only written:

C:\Bootgen_result\u-boot.elf

What is the correct line?

Thanks by advance.

Hi @peltier,

For elfs, you dont have to specify the load and start addresses. Bootgen determined them from the elf itself. Specifying load and start address are more meaningful in case of binary files. If you specify them for elfs, Bootgen will ignore the addresses read from elfs
