How to update xparameter.h file in Vivado 2014.2

Jump to solution

Hi,

I have recently updated to Vivado 2014.2.

After generating the bitstream for my design I tried to export it to SDK.

In new version, there is no "Export HW and Launch SDK" option, but it generates a .hdf file.

Unfortunately, after updating my design and export, "xparameters.h" file is not updated. Previous versions make that with the option "Export HW and Launch SDK".

How can I update the "xparameters.h" file?

Any help would be really appreciated!

Thank you!

Refer to the link below to monitor the hw changes in SDK. Let me know if you still do not see the changes in xparameters.h reflected correctly.

I find that I occasionally need to right-click the BSP and Re-generate BSP Sources to get the xparameters.h to update.

Unfortunately, it does not work, but I create a new BSP file, so it creates lib files as changed from old project.

If you right click your hardware platform and select 'Change Hardware Platform Specification,' is it pointing to the correctly updated .hdf? I'd check the timestamps :)

I have the same exact issue using vivado 2014.4

I change the address mapping in vivado, synthesize and export

a new design, but the bsp does not update the xparameters.h file

I tried clean project and rebuild and and rebuid bsp, no luck;

the only thing that works is to start over and create a new project;

then the new bsp is correct;
