SDK Debugging Expressions update problem

I use system debugger for my application.

However, every time I press an Update button in the expressions column, the SDK stops operation for time to update the values.

I generate three 50Hz sinewaves with the PWM implemented in the PL. When I press the update button or change something in the expressions, I receive this kind of noise (shown in the figure) which lasts untill all of the variables are updated. Is there any way to deal with this issue?

Re: SDK Debugging Expressions update problem

Hi @slayer0112 ,

You mention that the PWM is implemented in the PL but is somehow controlled/driven by the PS side? I mean, I would expect the debugger to interfere somehow with the processors but not really with the PL.

Regards

Re: SDK Debugging Expressions update problem

I'm assuming yuiu are using the AXI timer to create the PMW?

Re: SDK Debugging Expressions update problem

In my case, the duty cycle for the PWM in calculated in PS.

Re: SDK Debugging Expressions update problem

The carrier wave of pwm is generated in PL using simple up-down counter. However, the reference is generated in the PS, and passed through AXI-Lite to PL part.
