I've got a new install of Vivado 2018.2. I re-ran everything on my existing project and exported the hardware. When I try to launch the SDK, the splash screen comes up, but the app never launches. I can't find any error messages anywhere.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi Ryan -
Try launching SDK with no workspace specified. If you do have a workspace, delete the .metadata folder. You may need to delete the .sdk directory and export again.

Which OS are you using ?

I have the same problem. I'm using Windows 10 Version 1803.
It does work when I select a different workspace and import the project I am working on.

Similar problem here in Windows 10.
Remove the folder C:\Users\<name>\.Xilinx\SDK does not help.
`SDK.log` under project folder contains no error message.
`.metadata\.log` contains a bunch of `NullPointerReference` exceptions reported by `cdt.core`.
The walk-around I found is to disable "build automatically" option under "Project" menu as soon as you start SDK before creating any C project using wizard.

If the SDK is quit instead of closed, it leaves .lock in the .metadata directory. This commonly happens on system crash or force exit on shutdown, since SDK pops up that "Are you sure?" window on exit.
Either make sure you quit cleanly or delete .lock in .metadata.
