We have developed a number of IP blocks we want to use as custom IP blocks in our XPS systems. As these can be used within multiple XPS projects, we want to keep them in a custom IP repository (separate from the XPS projects). In the .xmp file we point to the correct library by setting the ModuleSearchPath variable to the correct directory. This works fine.
However, we are using both windows and linux environments to build our projects. As a result we need to adapt the the ModuleSearchPath variable every time we switch build environment. The use of environment variables for setting the ModuleSearchPath is very helpful as it could avoid the (manual) editing of the .xmp file.
Has anyone used environment variables in the .xmp file? Is it even possible to use environment variables in the .xmp file? And if so, how can it be done?

I know I'm bumping an old post but I have the same question and it has not been answered here. Is it possible to use environment variables in the ModuleSearchPath found in the .xmp file? If so, what is the correct syntax?
