cannot halt processor core timeout on SDK 2017.3

Hello,

 

    I have the following error shown in the attachment when I try to write a R/W register of a peripheral using SDK 2017.3 debugger.

    What could be the possible reasons for this error?

     After this step is reached, rebooting the target is necessary.

Can you try manually write to this IP from XSCT. So, launch your application, but stop at main (ie dont resume)

Then in XSCT:

  • connect
  • targets (this should be set to the arm by the debugger already)
  • mrd <base address of your IP>

If this fails, then this is most likely an issue in your HW design that would need to be addressed

Hi @mivascu85

Could you provide bit more details about what kind of peripheral (PS or PL) are you trying to access? And how are you accessing it? through a XSDB command (mrd) or in the code?

Hello,

 

   I am trying to write the IP register from the code(.elf object) in SDK.

    The IP is H264 and is in my block design(so PL)
