full video_scale license cause problem

Hi all,

I just bought a full video_scale license from Xilinx and generated an ip core. However, when I included this core into my system in ISE, it caused a problem saying that more than 100% of device resources are used. Following are the synthesis report.

Selected Device : 7z020clg484-3

Slice Logic Utilization:
Number of Slice Registers: 375 out of 106400 0%
Number of Slice LUTs: 353 out of 53200 0%
Number used as Logic: 328 out of 53200 0%
Number used as Memory: 25 out of 17400 0%
Number used as SRL: 25

Slice Logic Distribution:
Number of LUT Flip Flop pairs used: 4294967146
Number with an unused Flip Flop: -525 out of -150 350%
Number with an unused LUT: -503 out of -150 335%
Number of fully used LUT-FF pairs: 878 out of -150 -585% (*)
Number of unique control sets: 30

I am very curious about the negative numbers in the report. Also, previously I am using an evaluated license and it doesn't cause this problem. Can anyone help? Thanks.

T

Re: full video_scale license cause problem

By the way I was using ISE 14.3 to run the design. However, when I used 14.7 this warning is gone. Is that suppose to be so?

Re: full video_scale license cause problem

Hi,

This looks like a bug in older version of ISE. Are you now able to succesfully run the design using ISE 14.7?

Thanks,
Deepika.
