how can I access the microblaze LMB BRAM from PPC.

hi.

 

I design a system base on V5FXT100T, I using PPC440 as system CPU running Linux, and have a microblaze running some code, Now I need update the mb instruction memory from the linux.

 

can someone give me helps.

Hello,

 

Your BRAM has 2 ports: PORTA and PORTB.

 

PORTA could be connected to one LMB_BRAM_CONTROLLER and PORT_B could be connected to one XPS_BRAM_controller.

 

PowerPC writes to the XPS_BRAM_CONTROLLER through the PLB.

Microblaze reads from the LMB_BRAM_CONTROLLER through the LMB_BRAM

Hello,

yes,  using dual port ram is a method.

 

If xilinx can open the mdm protocol, we can access the mb in linux using the mdm interface, I more prefect this method.
