how to send a character with serial connection using minicom

Hi all,

I connected to my zc706 using minicom, i tried to send a simple character to my board, i used the following code:

#include "stdio.h"
#include "xil_printf.h"

int main(void){
xil_printf("begin\n");
setvbuf(stdin, NULL, _IONBF, 0);
for (int a=0;a<5;a++)
{
char Input = getchar();
if (Input != EOF)
xil_printf("%c", Input);
}
return 0;
}

in minicom console i get the word "Begin" as expected, but i can't type my character to send it to the board.

is there something missing in my code or in minicom settings ? Any help would be appreciated...

Best Regards.

Hi @boularesaziz

Would you make sure the followings ?

- Baudrate between ZC706 and minicon (Include data, parity stop bit and flow control settings.)

- Connection UART signals between ZC706 and minicon. (TX<->RX and RX<->TX)

Best regards,
