xilmfs missing from supported libraries in BSP (Vitis 2019.2)

Jump to solution

I am migrating my project (on a PC with a Windows operating system) from 2018.2 tools to 2019.2.

In Xilinx SDK 2018.2 I selected xilmfs ver 2.3 (Xilinx Memory File System) in the Board Support Package Settings under Overview>>>Supported Libraries

However in Vitis 2019.2, xilmfs is not listed under the supported libraries in the Board Support Package Settings.

Why is xilmfs not listed and what should I do about it?

Thanks

xilmfs is depecrated starting from 2019.1

Please use xilffs instead.

Alternatively, as a temporary solution.

I just copied these files from the BSP in my SDK 2018.2 project in with my application source code files in my Vitis 2019.2 project.  And that worked fine for me and I didn't have to re-write my code.

  • mfs_config.h
  • mfs_filesys_util.c
  • mfs_filesys.c
  • xilmfs.h

Hi @jovitac , Thanks for your reply.

My current design uses xilffs for an SD-Card interface and xilmfs for writing/reading files to RAM.

Looking at UG1032 October 30, 2019, it instructs when generating the xilffs library in the BSP/Platform: to set fs_interface = 1 for a SD-Card and fs_interface = 2 for RAM

What do I do if I want both SD-Card and RAM?

Thanks.
