Cant access mmcblk partition

Hi can does anyone know what i'm doing wrong i have i cannot seem to access any of the partitions in "mmcblk0". my boot args are:

earlycon clk_ignore_unused console=ttyPS0,115200 earlyprintk root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rw rootwait

i am adding the  BOOT.BIN and image.ub to the BOOT partition /dev/mmcblk0p1

and ubuntu with the 2019.2 modules to /dev/mmcblk0p2

This can happen if for example Linux doesn't support (or isn't compiled with support for that is) the file system type you are trying to use, but looking at the message, it almost seems like you haven't partitioned your SD card correctly.
