How to Run Linux on Cora board

Hello,

I want to run Linux on CORA-Z10 board.

Do i need a host PC with Linux to run Linux on CORA? At present, I have host PC with Windows OS.

I tried searching over google but dint find any clear answer.

Hi @Creativity 

Yes, you would need linux host to build the linux images targeting the board

If you want to just boot the ready images, you dont need linux PC though

Will installing cygwin in the windows platform help in avoiding linux host?

If you want to build a cross compiled linux image, you can use Yocto, Petalinux or open source flow. You would need a linux OS to do this.

If you have a windows machine, you are best to install a virtual machine, and build the image here in yocto, or petalinux.

However, if as @shabbirk mentioned. you dont have prebuilt images for this board, then you dont need a host at all.
