How to build a kernel module using petalinux?

Jump to solution

Hi, all

I want to build the kernel module from here: https://github.com/nvdla/sw/tree/master/kmd. The instruction given on how to configure and compile this directory is:

make KDIR=<path_to_Linux_source> ARCH=arm64 CROSS_COMPILE=<path_to_toolchain>

I want to build this using petalinux without creating any additional module. So what should be the <path_to_Linux_source> , <path_to_toolchain> in this case?

Hi @maju42

FYI.

<path_to_Linux_source>

=> Download suitable linux kernel same as what you use by petalinux.

<path_to_toolchain>

=> Your cross compiler toolchain path

ex. <your installed SDK directory>/aarch64/lin/aarch64-linux/bin

Best regards,
