Perf tool avaiable on zynq linux?

Is perf tool can be used in zynq linux for measuring cache miss rate of an running application on ARM?

Yes I know I have used it but can't find my notes on how to build it.

 

It is actually part of the kernel tree tools/perf such that it is not specific to Zynq at all.

 

If I can find more notes later I'll add them.

That's great. I knew it was part of the kernel, but I was under the impression that it required some processor specific code to get the the performance monitoring registers. I wasn't sure if this was all implemented or not.

The easiest way might be to use a Yocto-based flow and leverage the existing recipes http://layers.openembedded.org/layerindex/recipe/53/
