PetaLinux 2016.4 BSP files for XC7Z010 based board

Jump to solution

Hi there,

I'm a new into this Xilinx tools, I'm working under Linux (Ubuntu) and I'm following the installation guide provided by the manufacturer of the board I'm using (is called "ZynqBerry") and Xilinx's Installation Guide. So, I'm missing PetaLinux v 2016.4  BSP files for the Part Number I'm using, that's Zynq XC7Z010. Which BSP files should I use? Should I grab the ones of the version 2014.4? This ones are compatible with the latest version?

Thanks in advance

Hi @imuguruza,

BSP stands for Board Support Package -> it is unique to a board not to a device. It even depens on what you have (IPs) in the PL.

So if you want a BSP you need to create your own in SDK using the HW design from Trenz website. Follow UG1165 (link) for help. There is also the steps on trenz wiki (link).

I don't think Trenz as any BSP to download and I am quite sure this is not on xilinx website.

Hope that helps,

Regards,

Florent

Hi @jmairs,

IPs are Intellectual Properties. An IP is a block to be used in the PL.
