PetaLinux 2018.2 not using my new rootfs

Greetings,

I'm trying to delete dropbear, ssh and a host of other unneeded tools from my root filesystem.  I run petalinux-config -c rootfs, make my changes and exit.  I can open the rootfs_config file in <plnxproj>/project-spec/configs and see the appropriate entries have been commented out.

Yet when I build, even after a petalinux-build -x clean (and -x distclean), the changes are not making it into my image ... dropbear, ssh, etc. are still in the filesystem after I boot.

I've even tried doing a petalinux-build -x mrproper, and still have the same result.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

-Dave

Re: PetaLinux 2018.2 not using my new rootfs

Hi Dave

Try adding  IMAGE_FEATURES_remove = "ssh-server-dropbear" to project-spec/meta-user/conf/petalinuxbsp.conf and rebuild

Best Regards
