Hello All,
In am interested in trying Petalinux on my Spatyan 3E starter kit for general interest/research purposes rather than anything commercial but am having difficulty finding a petalinux distribution. The links on this board (ie http://developer.petalogix.com/downloads/petalinux-v0.30-rc1.tar.gz) and I have not been able to find an alernative. Would someone be able to point e in the right direction?
Thanks

It may be faster to contact Petalogix.
Thanks.

Hi,
after renewing their website some time ago, Petalogix has made a great effort to hide, or avoid, sources (and anything else but documentation) to be downloaded from their site.
I wonder if this is correct behavior according to the GPL licensed stuff they have in their product.
Petalinux is a port of uClinux and the link to the microblaze version (http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~jwilliams/mblaze-uclinux) now is forwarded to petalinux.
So you probably have to contact petalogix and ask them for either a CD or some special download link for the things you want.
Have a nice synthesis

I recently contacted Petalogix with almost exactely the same question. According to their reply, no free download of petalinux is possible. Instead a $ 10k license will need to be purchased. Obiusly, I might have misunderstood.
Please let me know if I have.
Regards,
Fabrizio

it used to be free, but around a year ago they switched to a commercial model. Petalogix adds a lot of value to the distribution including tools, docs, and support. If you don't need any of that, then free open source linux is always available..
There is still a way to apply to get the distribution for free if you are associated with a university:
