SP605 USB support

Hi,

I need to know if there are plans to support USB devices on the SP605 platform under linux. I have seen that there is support and documentation about it for the ML507 but i don't think the same USB PHY used for the ML507 can be used in the SP605 (i don't see 5V DC sources coming out of the board).

Are there any developments on this?

Best,

JM

are you referring to USB host? If so, I don't know of any plans with respect to IP or doing any driver work. I'll ask around and reply back if I hear of any plans.

Thanks,
John

We do still have the USB2 device core and that can interact with a standard ULPI PHY. With it you can use the gadget interface.

Hi karl,

Thanks. What do you mean by "gadget interface"?

I think the gadget interface allows the ML605 to configure USB as a slave device so it can be connected to a PC.
