how to insure/set u-boot is build with the correct device tree ?

Petalinux version 2017.2

Our 2017.2  build environment (petalinux-based) is able to build a working linux kernel (image-xx.ub) that can be booted with an old u-boot version.  How to insure/set this env to build u-boot with the correct device tree?

When using "bitbake u-boot-xlnx -c do_menuconfig" to configure u-boot, it is not clear the correct device tree is used?  Please advise.

Hi @srg1000

If you build the boot images using petalinux , it will take care of building u-boot with right device tree itself.

For configuring u-boot , you can just run below command

petalinux-config -c u-boot

Thanks & regards
