I m porting linux kernel on ppc440 of(virtex5-ml507) , I m using RHEL5 system and Xilinx EDK on the linux , I have ported linux-2.6 on ppc440, but how do I know this porting is successful.As I m nt able to configure minicom on linux so I am using windowsxp system to see the result on hyperterminal,I followed "Getting started with git" document from Xilinx , but how do I knw If result is proper.
I have certain confusion-
1) I used EDK to make download.bit , but I selected bootloop as 'initialize BRAM', so only by this bitstream made.
2) Is any bootloader required for porting.
3) I want to simply run an small application after porting kernel on ppc440.
4)What is this qtopia?If we need it, if yes how?
Plz help me to solve this problems,I will be very thankful to u.
