Ubuntu Desktop on ZCU102

Hi,

I have troubles running Ubuntu on my ZCU102 board (rev 1.0)

 

Based on the wiki page below, I can successfully build & see the boot log from the UART console
But the problem is that it cannot display GUI on DP monitor with error message: [drm:xilinx_drm_dp_train] *ERROR* failed to set lane count

 

It seems that the files of the wiki page is only for the rev D board and there's no further notice when to update the files

Please help me to sort things out

I've seen this before and can't quite remember the fix but here's a couple of tips:

 

There's a device tree patch relating to displayport and PL transceiver lanes and phys, if this is your own build make sure that's in.

 

Try different monitors, cables, and powering everything off and trying again.  With my zcu102 I have one particular monitor which only works once after power on then must be reset...
