ZynqMP accesses DDR4 Memory for no reason.

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a ZCU102 with Vivado 2017.4 and Petalinux 2017.4.

When my custom IP hm_dpdpss (which work like a DMA) is trying to access the DDR, the linux hanged.
I could observe with the ILA that the zynqMP is writting to the DDR at the address 0x10007c1140 for example.
I think that the concurrent accesses are causing the linux to hang.
I tried to change the range for the DDR to 4G (high address 0x10_FFFF_FFFF) and then the zynq is writing aroud the address 0x10_FC00_0000.

Why is the zynqMP writing to the DMA ? How to avoid this ?

Thanks for your help !

You can find the diagram and the address editor below

EDIT : The zynq is not the reason why the Linux was hanging, but still, why is writing to the DDR ?

Re: ZynqMP accesses DDR4 Memory for no reason.

For example, there is a captur of the ILA.

Context of the captur : I'm logged in the linux and not doing anything.

For sure, the writing are coming from the zynq (I put an ILA on zynq output too in a separate project)

On this captur we ca see that the zynq writes at the address 0077e900 (0x10_0077_e900).

AWBURST=1; AWSIZE=4; AWLEN=03.
