10G ethernet using Kintex-7 (XC7K70T) FPGA

Jump to solution

We need to build 10G ethernet over copper using FPGA for our smart camera project. The device we have selected is XC7K70T-2FBG484I.  We have a confusion in selecting the IP core for implementing 10G ethernet. Which one to use among USXGMII, 10GEMAC , 10GBase-X etc. The PHYs available mostly supports USXGMII interface. Please help in this regard.

Hi @lajitha82

Are you looking for both MAC and PHY IPs from xilinx? or only MAC or only PHY IPs?

Seems that you are looking for 7series you can use 10GEMAC, 10GBase-x or 10G subsyetem.

If you are looking for only MAC and external PHY - 10GEMAC (PG072).

looking for only PHY - 10GBase-x(PG068).

looking for both MAC and PHY - 10G Ethernet subsyetem(PG157).
