AXI 1G/2.5G Ethernet Subsystem 7.1 (Transceiver Options)

Hi all,

I'd like to add AXI 1G/2.5G Ethernet Subsystem (7.1) IP in my design.

To make it simple, I decided to start from a xilinx example design with the IP configured for 1000BASE-X routed to the SFP cage on SFP0 for use on a ZCU102 board. This situation is very similar to mine.

In the example design Physical Interface Tab is like this:

Now, when I try to set Ethernet Speed and GT Reference Clock Frequency MHz, I can't do it, since the corresponding tabs are respectively gray and not present. 

I suppose this difference (between my design and the example design which I started from) could depend on the different device used: I use xc7z015clg485-1, while the example uses xczu9eg-ffvb1156-2-e...

Or maybe, I need to enable/configure something else, like GTX..

Can you help me?

Hi @ale11286 ,

If you read PG138, you will see 2.5G speed support as below:

Support for 2.5G Ethernet. This feature is enabled for the following devices:

°Kintex®-7, Virtex®-7 with GTH and GTX transceivers

°Artix®-7 devices with GTP and speed grade -2, -2L, and -3

°UltraScale™, UltraScale+™ devices with GTH and GTY transceivers

°Versal ACAP with GTY transceivers

So the device you are using has GTP transceiver and you are having a -1 speed. 

Also "GT reference clock" option is only available for US and US+ devices, so you won't see it when you create the project for Zynq.
