Difference between BITSTREAM.CONFIG.SPI_BUSWIDTH 4 and CONFIG_MODE SPIx4 ?

Jump to solution

All the question is in the title. I'd like to configure a bitstream to use with a QSPI config flash. I know I must use the second (CONFIG_MODE SPIx4), but what is Bus Width? Could I use a Bus Width 1 with a QSPI?

Hi @johnvivm

BITSREAM constraint is for write_bitstream process to ensure correct x4 (BUSWIDTH 4 ) read commands are included into bit file.

CONFIG_MODE SPIx4 is for Vivado tool to check DRC.

The advice is to match both setting to the mode you are using.
