Hi.
Currenly looking into making performing a read-back of chiptype XC9572-100TQ-15Q. Was recommended earlier this year to try and use a Digilent HS3 JTag cable for this.
Via the Impact software, the software will recognise the chip upon connection, but readback/programming is not possible. It is also mentioned in the datasheet of the HS3 that these chips are not supported.
Came across this forum thread which claims this operation is possible using a HW-USB-II-G programmer.

My only consern, is that the linked datasheet in response is for an earlier version of the programmer "HW-USB-G".

And in the newer version, there is a line which says "Removed obsolete XC4000, XC9500, XC9500XV, and Spartan devices from Features".

Though, the forum post claims the programming was successful using "HW-USB-II-G", I just want a confirmation whether this is possible or not, since this is an expensive programmer to invest money in...
