program and config storage

Jump to solution

I am new to xlinx I came from altera  and it may sound stupid but i need to ask. I am doing a cutom board and Altera uses external flash or eeprom to store the program and config. does xlinx use eternal devices also. Does xlinx parts have  a startup to read these parts?

@bob_mcloughlin,

    I believe the answer to your question is yes, you can store the bitstream in things such as an external flash or eeprom ect, and the chip has configuration features to read from them on stratup.

You should refer to the Config UG for all the possible configration options provided in the Xilinx parts: https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/user_guides/ug570-ultrascale-configuration.pdf
