DATAFLOW directive and naming of regions

Jump to solution

Can I assign a name to each module obtained from a DATAFLOW directive? When I look at the HLS results in the Module Hierarchy tab the name of the modules are usually something like loop_XYZ_0123, func_4_s_blah_blah, etc.

Can I define more human intelligible names instead of the machine generated ones?

Hello @gdg,

in UG902 (https://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx2018_2/ug902-vivado-high-level-synthesis.pdf), page 58, states that the 'Named Loops allow the synthesis report to be easily read'.

We do not have any DATAFLOW directive label support at this time.

Sorry,
Chris

@chrisz

Named loops are great indeed. I was searching for something similar for DATAFLOW. Hopefully, I will see it in the future!

Thank you!
